    The Scottish Property Federation is the voice of the real estate industry in Scotland, an industry that accounts for one in every 13 jobs. We work collaboratively with policy makers and other industry stakeholders to create a thriving built environment that provided the homes, leisure and employment spaces that Scotland needs.

The SPF and BPF's Junior Professionals Network

BPF Futures is a community of over 2,400 members, shaped and managed by junior professionals and supported by the British Property Federation. 

Membership is completely free and open to anyone with less than 10 years of experience working in the property industry.

BPF Futures is a network designed to develop tomorrow’s property industry leaders, to ensure a more sustainable future for our sector and the UK’s economic and social wellbeing.

Our Pillars

BPF Futures' activity is based on four key pillars:  

  • Influencing

    We create opportunities for you to have your say on key industry topics, get involved with BPF Committees, and discuss the future of the industry - all while deepening your understanding of policies that affect your sector.

  • Learning

    We offer lots of opportunities for you to attend talks, webinars, site tours and formal learning to increase your knowledge of cutting-edge developments and the latest technology.

  • Mentoring

    Our mentoring programme connects senior industry leaders with junior in-career professionals for a six-month period that allows you to receive career guidance and direction, and help you to navigate your career path.

  • Networking

    Our networking events and opportunities allow you to build your network across the whole of the property industry, including both the public and private sectors, and grow your connections to boost your career. 

How to Get Involved

Your first step into membership

If you’re a property professional with 10 or fewer years’ experience, the easiest way to get involved is by becoming a BPF Futures member.

It’s quick, simple and free to become a member and you’ll instantly have access to our programme of events, our learning and development resources, and exclusive opportunities.

Your organisation does not need to be a corporate member of the BPF or SPF to join.

Governance BPF Futures Advisory Board

The activity, events and direction of the BPF Futures network is led and shaped by the BPF Futures Advisory Board (FAB). They are members of the network who work in a range of roles in different types of companies across the property  industry and are based across the whole of the UK.
